 COME SEE THE NEW WILD SIDE! We have remodeled with a lot of help from our friends. Brand new puppy (nursery) room! Wild Side Pets is located at 258 West Hamilton Avenue in State College, Pennsylvania. Our store is close to the downtown center of State College and within walking distance of the Pennsylvania State University main campus. We have been family owned and operated since 1997 and have had a long association with our local veterinarians. Our staff is experienced and they are always willing to share their personal pet experience with you...some of our best customers are our employees!   For all of you dog and cat enthusiasts, Wild Side Pets, Inc. only accepts the healthiest local puppies and kittens, from local breeders. We believe that you need to interact with a puppy or kitten before you can make a decision about sharing your life with them, so we have rooms exclusively devoted to them. You are always welcome to enter, sit down and play until you have selected an animal (or one has selected you!). We get new puppies and kittens often, so check our Puppies and Kittens page and check back often because we will update it as soon as we have new arrivals. All of our puppies and kittens are veterinary checked and their health is guaranteed.  We have aquariums from 2 gallons to 300 gallons with stands, hoods, lights, gravel, filters, heaters and all of the other accessories. We stock our 60 fresh water aquariums with fish from around the world including Central and South America, Africa, and Australia. Wild Side Pets sells locally raised Angelfish and Fancy Guppies and a good selection of brackish water fish. We restock our aquariums twice a week and almost always stock large Oscars and other predators. For the Salt Water aquarium hobbyist, we stock aquariums, stands, hoods and filters. We also have protein skimmers, ultra violet sterilizers, test kits, and all your high intensity lighting needs. We stock our salt water aquariums with fish, invertebrate, live rock and corals from around the world. We resupply our aquariums weekly and once a month we bring in a huge selection of hand picked animals from our exclusive West Coast distributor. Wild Side Pets will special order salt water animals and will do our best to locate whatever you want including coral fragments and propagated live rock. Wild Side Pets sells and feeds exclusively Nutro Products dog and cat foods. We restock 3,500 feeder fish and 16,000 crickets a week and sell mealworms, superworms, and waxworms for those customers who need live food. Come on in and meet our friendly and educated staff who are just waiting to serve you and answer all your questions. Be sure to meet Sally our in store cat looking for a good home and, if you are visiting during weekday business hours, you'll meet our mascot and mooch Bear too! Whatever your interest in companion animals, Wild Side Pets, Inc. can fill all your needs. Our motto is "If we don't have it, we can get it." Wild Side Pets, Inc. has generous operating hours from 10 AM to 8 PM Monday thru Friday, Saturday 10-7 and from Noon to 5 PM on Sundays. You should never have trouble finding a parking space and parking is always free. Please stop in and introduce yourself!  Wild Side Pets has all of your small animals needs filled whether you are looking for guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets (from Pennslyvania's own Path Valley Ferrets), gerbils, hamsters, chinchillas, mice or rats. We carry a full line of treats, cages, bedding, food, and water bottles. We have an experienced wire cage builder and can create the ultimate wire cage for all of your caged animal needs. We stock only a small number of reptiles, but we have spectacular locally bred Bearded Dragons when they are available. We carry small frogs, geckos, and an occasional snake. And for all you reptile hobbists, we carry a full line of products to keep your animals happy and healthy. Wild Side Pets has heat rocks, heat pads, heat lights, UVA and UVB light bulbs, vitamin and calcium suppliments, cages, bedding, and much more.
