 Wild Side Pets Sells Healthy Local puppies
Wild Side Pets, Inc. has been selling only locally bred central Pennsylvania puppies since we opened our doors in 1997. We search the area for breeders who have the healthiest puppies available and then have the puppies’ health verified by a veterinarian. With the assistance of our veterinarians we have set the standard for our initial health assessment very high. We have our vets look for any pre-existing conditions that may need immediate treatment; an upper respiratory infection, cuts, and internal or external parasites. Should a puppy fail the initial health assessment, it is returned to the breeder and chances are good that Wild Side Pets will not purchase another pup from them. If there is a treatable condition that requires medication, Wild Side Pets purchases the medication and begins treatment. All medical conditions are noted by our veterinarian on a health assessment sheet that is placed into the individual puppy's folder. All puppies receive the vaccinations necessary including a vaccine for bordatella. If Wild Side Pets needs to begin treatment on a pup, we will note what treatment is taking place, the type of medication being used, the rate of medication and that information is then recorded on a sheet that is placed into the pup's folder. Whenever a customer purchases a puppy from Wild Side Pets all of the current medical information; shot records, treatment history (if necessary), and any other important medical information is then given to the new puppy's owner. In addition, every puppy goes to their new home with a certificate for a free veterinary visit. This visit entitles the new owner to have the pup's health assessed a second time...free of charge...and if there is any existing medical condition at that time, Wild Side Pets will purchase the medication for treatment. All of the effort that we invest in our puppies is evident by the responses we get from our customers. Wild Side Pets, Inc. has made it our purpose to define what we want to do with kittens in our store...find the healthiest of the local central Pennsylvania kittens, secure a veterinarian health assessment, have them tested for feline leukemia and FIV (feline version of AIDS) and then guarantee their health to our customers. Why don't we sell pure-bred kittens? There are too many wonderful kittens who need a good home for us to discriminate against them. Just like our puppies, we back the health of our kittens with a free veterinary visit.
