All puppies are current on their vaccinations (for their age), are wormed weekly from 4-weeks of age, and go home with our health guarantee. We also provide the buyer with a free second vet visit at Centre Animal Hospital and a free bag of Nutro puppy food.   ALL OF OUR KITTENS ARE RESCUES AND COME WITH OUR VETERINARY PACKAGE. All of our kittens are vet screened on arrival, given their first distemper vaccine, are de-wormed (at least once), flea/tick treated, combo-tested (negative for FELV/FIV), heart worm tested negative and are sent home with health guarantee, second free vet visit at Centre Animal Hospital and a free bag of nutro kitten food. We are hoping, in the near future to include spay/ neuter vouchers in our kitten adoption package. We do not get our kittens from breeders- we find homes for kittens that need them. When we do not have thousands of starving and sick kittens (and mom cats!) roaming the streets, then we may consider purposefully bred cats. We are usually inundated with homeless kittens to the point where it is almost impossible to list them all on here. If you would like to come and meet our adoptables, stop down anytime!
Meet Pookie  My name is Pookie. I am a DSH black male kitten looking for a purrrfect home. This is my story: I came to Doug’s Wild Side as a homeless kitten back in October. My D.O.B is estimated at 7-9-09 (making me 8-months-old). I didn’t know why I was brought into this world and why nobody wanted me. I had a rough start in life. I was found to have a skin infection that just wouldn’t go away. I visited the vet numerous times, was medicated daily and bathed weekly. It took a long time to get me back into shape but now I have been checked by Centre Animal Hospital with a clean bill of health. The staff at Doug’s Wild Side has spent a lot of money and time caring for me and is very attached to me. For this reason, I need to go to a special home. I am looking for a family who will love me for the rest of my years. I need to be an indoor only cat and I will not be de-clawed. I am due to be neutered and my new family will be willing to do this for me. Please remember I can live up to 18 years. Like every animal, I am a lifetime commitment and not one to be taken lightly. I you are not interested in adopting me, please come visit me and give me some love. I am a very affectionate, playful and sweet little man. I will be a great addition to any family. I am good with kids and other cats. Dogs do not bother me, either! My medical info: I am tested negative for FIV/FELV I am heartworm negative I have had all of my distemper vaccinations for this year. I have had my Rabies. I have been wormed multiple times since I have been here. I have been treated preventatively for fleas and ticks every month since I have been here. I have been treated for my infection and tested negative for fungal infection 3/18/10. I come with a bag of kitten food. I come with a health guarantee.
